Break out your party hat and get ready to help us blow out the candles – it’s Animal Friends’ 75th birthday bash! For two nights, we’ll show you that Animal Friends only gets better with age as we celebrate at Pittsburgh’s hottest gala – right here on our 75-acre campus.
On Friday Night, you can prowl your way onto the dance floor and shake your tail feathers all night. Get your fill of tasty treats, lively libations and one-of-a-kind auctions. Of course, there will be plenty of time to get down with the best party animals around – our homeless residents!
SOLD OUT! On Saturday, indulge in a divine dining experience, tap your toes to our soulful jazz pianist and hop your way through our fabulous auction packages. You can leave your birthday suit at home because our dogs, cats and rabbits have that covered.

As we continue our commitment to support companion animals, our awareness of and compassion for all animal life is growing and deepening. We are so excited to offer you a mouthwatering vegetarian and vegan menu from Common Plea Catering both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Vegan: Braised Leek and Yukon Dumpling over Vegetable Bolognese topped with Frizzled Leeks

Birthday Wish Challenge
Birthday parties are a celebration of life. And, for 75 years Animal Friends has been saving – and celebrating – the lives of companion animals in our region one by one – like candles placed on a cake. Thousands upon thousands of candles representing the lives we have rescued, healed and loved.
In honor of Animal Friends 75th birthday, we are asking you to keep the party going by lighting more candles and continuing our work to save more lives. Your gift to our Birthday Wish Challenge will light a candle and ignite the care needed to mend more broken bones, fill more hungry bellies and, of course, find more loving homes.
Now through Sept. 22 – thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor – every dollar you give in support of the Birthday Wish Challenge will be matched 50 cents on the dollar, up to $100,000.

Heads or Tails
Only on Saturday night will you have the chance to play this coin toss game that's been flipped on its head!
Each round, you’ll choose heads or tails and have a 50/50 shot to stay in the game. Simply guess correctly every time to be the last one standing – and the $3,000 grand prize will be yours!
Each spot to play is $50. Must be present Saturday night to participate.
Raffle
Feeling lucky? Take a chance – or two or three – on tail-wagging prizes in our annual Black Tie & Tails Raffle!
First prize: $2,000
Second prize: Four Steelers Tickets in Club Section versus the Bengals on Sunday, Dec. 30 (valued at $1,200)
Third prize: $1,000
Tickets are only $10. Winners will be pulled at Black Tie & Tails on Saturday, Sept. 22. Winners need not be present.
